G-Dragon, a member of the popular South Korean boy band BIGBANG, has announced strong legal action against malicious posts following the recent confirmation that his drug test results for fingernails and toenails came back negative. The Incheon Police Agency’s drug crime investigation unit received this information from the National Institute of Forensic Science.
G-Dragon’s legal representative, lawyer Kim Soo Hyun, released a statement confirming that legal action is being taken against those who have posted defamatory, insulting, sexually harassing, false information, and malicious slander against G-Dragon.
The legal team is actively collecting evidence and preparing to submit multiple complaints to investigative agencies, with a no-tolerance policy and a strong response without settlement or leniency. This move comes after G-Dragon’s initial reagent test and comprehensive analysis of his urine and hair samples also tested negative for drugs.
The band’s members have faced public scrutiny for misconduct in the past, with Seungri retiring from show business in 2019 due to criminal investigations and TOP receiving a suspended jail sentence in 2017 for marijuana use.
